Mostly I was trying to see how many different writers I could get. 11, as it turns out. Though I'm curious as to how their algorithm-doohicky-majigger works. (Shakespeare? I mean, WTF.)

I remember liking the two Michael Crichton books I read (Jurassic Park, predictably, and Rising Sun), but those were also in my early teens and I don't remember much about the style. Perhaps he's similar to Dan Brown in the way that actual scientists take offense to Crichton's science, and historians take offense to Brown's history?

It's not so much the actual details that I dislike, just that he had to be so dry about it. I like when writing has a bit more life and personally :3 Not so much when it is like a textbook...Of course some textbooks can be fun but...
