Quickie update
Oct. 9th, 2019 10:20 amI know it is taking me far too long to finish these ficlets but look I just love any excuse I can get to write a kiss scene and that is
p much
my major holdup
.
Because kiss scenes need a buildup, they can't just, you know, happen out of nowhere, they have to feel earned but then there's also the challenge of not writing multiple kiss scenes that just sound ~*the same*~ every time or maybe that's just me, maybe I just worry about that too much.
In other news I appear to have read 34 books so far this year which is probably about *does math* 33 more books than I read last year, here are the highlights:
Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning by Margareta Magnusson
On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong (far and away the absolute best book I've read all year)
Calm the F*ck Down by Sarah Knight
The Life-Changing Manga of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo/Yuko Uramoto
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Currently reading The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, and Disneywar by James B. Stewart. Oh and Urusei Yatsura. Reading is fun!
