Ugh, I swear, you guys
Sep. 20th, 2009 02:16 amThis kiss scene is fucking killing me.
I've gotta come back to it or something; I just can't seem to get it right. I was approaching it from one angle at first and then decided No, let's do it this way, and now I'm going like ARGH, the first approach is probably going to work better, and then I read it over again and go Well MAYBE?!
Whatever. Flagging it and moving on. Ch9 is being a little bitch; I had not anticipated this.
I also toyed (v. briefly) with the idea of cutting out a big scene I originally had planned. Not a big scene plot-wise; everything that was going to happen there I thought could have easily been moved to a few different key scenes that already existed. Buh, and then I realized the chronology is such that I can't really do that, because then stuff that's supposed to happen at the same time (and also stuff that makes for a better chapter closing) and influence other events... agh, it just got all fucky. So that big closing scene (more of a setting, really) stays. Although I have decided to cut a bit from it that I originally thought (months and months ago) would be fairly cute, but realized within the past week that it really didn't add much, ultimately, to the story. So off you go.
I read the first chapter of this ages ago and then ff.net ate my review, which was nice. Haven't been back to read since, but I think it's worth checking out.
