a little greens cookie

Once again, I apologize for the long absence! The past month has been a little tough on my end; perhaps I'll get into it next post ♥

More importantly, someone on AskFM had requested a greens cookie after the last reds scene, and while I didn't have as many to choose from as I did the reds, this felt worth sharing :)

(Thanks also to anon for the heads up about AskFM closing! Not sure where I'll migrate next. We'll see!)

Once again, the Greens are popping up in a Reds fic, pulling focus and stealing moments.

Blossom wandered the perimeter. It was what she’d come up to do, after all. Glanced over the railing. People-watched for a moment. Buttercup was now surrounded by high school friends, mostly her guy crowd. Butch entered from outside—he’d stayed behind to close up the garage—and Blossom saw him sweep his gaze across the room. He didn’t need to; Buttercup spotted him instantly and held both arms up, waving, her bottle of beer threatening to spill over several people. The smile that lit up both their faces simultaneously felt so joyous that it felt almost like spying, and Blossom watched as Butch bodily carved his way through the crowd towards her sister. Their friends parted so he could pull in close and kiss her.

It struck Blossom as an unusual greeting considering how reticent Buttercup was to nearly any displays of physical affection, but she didn’t receive it in the spirit Blossom expected. She kissed him back, a delighted smile lighting her entire face, and Blossom could not recall ever seeing her sullen sister so happy. Buttercup pulled back, that effervescent smile still lighting her face, and handed Butch her beer so he could take a swig before heading to the bar to retrieve one for himself. As he left his hand pulled at hers, and she let him do so while she turned back to her friends, their hands holding onto each other’s until the last possible moment before the crowd separated them on his way to the bar.

Honestly I'm struggling to decide what to work on right now. It's between this, the pop-up conclusion, the next spy!au chapter, a nsfw thing, and the next chap of TEF. ALTHOUGH. That does remind me, I do not think it will actually be possible for me to get out the next TEF chap by end of year T_T I'd really been hoping to and it disappoints me that I won't! Regardless, I'll keep plugging away at it all. I'm genuinely excited about all the different irons I have in the fire and can't wait to share them ♥

that was only two paragraphs and it was fucking delightful. another way to say that whatever you end up working on will be brilliant, even if it will be little by little. give yourself the grace to take your time to get whatever you choose to work on.
