Something about his nakedness—the shock, surely—had quelled her rage. It even awed her, a little. They were good—not just good nudes, but good photos. More composed than your average naked bathroom selfie. There was lighting. Not that—well, not that the subject matter was hard to look at, of course. She looked good naked, it stood to reason that others would, too. That Brick would, too.
She’d stared, then closed the tab in disbelief. Careless. Stupid.
She’d gone back to them later. They were good. Photos, they were good photos. Whoever had taken them was talented. She remembered him doing art, inexplicably, in school. Maybe photography had been part of the curriculum. She seemed to recall Bubbles going through a photography phase. If it was Brick, he was a decent photographer.
She sought out details in the background. Was that his apartment, or someone else’s? His books on the shelf? The background was blurred; she couldn’t make out the titles. The blinds were closed on the windows; she couldn’t discern what building or neighborhood he might have lived in. The furniture was on the cheaper side, but looked nice. Neat. Put together, at least.
She found new things to study each time. She knew those lamps, those fixtures. Similar to the ones at the TIPS office. The fixtures had been expensive. Did he have that kind of money to spend? Maybe they were knockoffs.
You’re being creepy, she told herself at random intervals during her day-to-day. Why was she so invested? Because they’re good photos, she told herself. They’re interesting. There’s stuff going on in them. Moreso than your average nude. I mean, I’m not even looking at him most of the time.
Which was true, up to a point.

Been writing fairly consistently since my last post for at least an hour each day which is a big step up! It boggles my mind that there was ever a time I used to do this on a daily basis while fully employed. How. Young me, teach me my secrets.
