81. When you watch and rewatch the series, do the two of them always catch your attention? Buttercup certainly does, each and every time. Lord knows "The Rowdyruff Boys" was my favoritest episode EVER for the longest time. I suppose the thing that always inspires me think of the two of them together is when there's a particular excellent moment in the series - either a fantastic character moment for Buttercup (GAH I loved the episode where she reveals her secret tongue curling power!), or something she does that just turns out to be really beautifully animated (see: all of "Three Girls and a Monster"). Why it makes me think of them as a couple I don't know - perhaps I like to imagine how certain aspects of her character would play out with Butch's opposing it. Really, though, I suppose I'm one of those crazy, irrational shippers that rational non-shippers just don't get :)
82. How would you feel if either one of them became formally engaged with someone else? You know, what I ship isn't canon, and I know that. I'm certainly not one of those whose jaw would drop if they didn't get together in the series (because honestly, who the fuck really thinks that's going to happen?). I don't wish that Craig would couple those two, nor do I think that the series would be SOOO much better if that happened. I just like what I ship. If Buttercup were to get together with Mitch, then cool. It's canon. I might whine a little if for some reason it didn't jive with my view of how Buttercup would react to Mitch, or how the dynamics of the relationship would work, but the fact remains that whatever the fans see on screen is what the fans have to work with. It's just too bad that more fans don't pay attention to that ;_;
83. By the way, if that happens, who will s/he be engaged to? Eugh, Buttercup engaged to somebody (WEIRD FACE). Sigh... Mitch, because she hasn't interacted with anyone else to a greater extent than him in the show, and she'd never get with Ace besides (ew, anyway). Butch? Engaged? Riiiiight.
84. Do you think it is possible that they would eventually split up, or one of them would fall in love with someone else? In my view of the ship, yes to the first, partial yes to the second. Buttercup would be the one most likely to fall in love with someone else, but her feelings would differ from the way she felt for Butch (and I say this because based on my limited experience in the world, you never fall in love with more than one person in quite the same way, ever).
85. Do you think their feelings towards each other are of the same intensity? No. Butch's feelings for her are much more intense, because there's nothing else he has in his life to care for more than her. Buttercup has a family. While there is a brotherly bond, the boys don't have that support network established (probably due to the lack of a parental figure).
86. Two of them are sharing a bed for some reason. Who will fall asleep first? HA. This is one of those "depends" answers. (I guess it depends on who did more work that night :P)
87. What has happened before they share the same bed? Well, there's only one way they'd get there, and I'd venture I've expostulated on that enough in this meme already...
88. Please describe the pair with one sentence. "Fuck you."
89. What do you like about the pair? This is a very hard question. What I like most about this couple is... and this isn't going to sound unique by any means... that they absolutely refuse to believe that they love each other. Aside from their feelings about family, they understand each other's motivations and desires, the need for physical action, and yet they can't stop butting heads. Constantly fighting doesn't equal anyone's idea of "the right relationship," so Buttercup especially thinks they're only together because they're both very fucked up and don't deserve better, when the reality is they're together because they want to be. I suppose I find something charming about it all.
90. Do you draw fanart/write fanfictions? ... Do I really need to answer this question?
Ten till the end :)
