deeply encrusted in the bowels of work. figured i'd fill in the blank spaces with something fun and useless.

1. The first character I first fell in love with
raven. snarky and acerbic. i dig sarcasm.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
jinx. she seems to be really popular, despite being in, what, five eps tops? i wasn't really watching the series toward the end anyway :( after her character development in the ep with kid flash i really liked how she came across as this character who's evil because that's just the way things are, and isn't expecting redemption for being good, because she isn't. the conflict wasn't really this internal struggle of being good vs. being bad, but more of a coming into her own and becoming a stronger individual. huzzah for strong female characters!
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
fuh... i don't know that there's a collective admiration of any particular character. perhaps slade? he's a dark twisty bad guy, didn't strike me as anything special. some folks were really into the robin/slade thing; slade just didn't interest me much at all.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
again, don't know that one exists. i seriously can't come up with one! i think a lot of people hated on terra, but i didn't exactly find her very compelling either, so bleh. i'm with them on that one.

aqualad. i'm so cliched. but he's HAWT. or kid flash. what a personality!
7. The character I'd want to be like
kid flash! very witty, confident, and charming all around.
8. The character I'd slap
*sigh* terra. she's confused and conflicted and made some poor decisions, that's fine, but, just, ERGH. then they turned her into a savior and made her such a martyr... groan. just, groan. i found her far more interesting as a dark soul with "no regrets," and they could've handled her exit with a lot more class if they'd held off on the melodrama. i will say i love how they handled the series finale, though.
9. A pairing that I love
bbrae. although i found it at times to be much more of a sibling relationship... beneath all the bickering there was this faint undercurrent of genuine affinity, and i loved it when the two of them were onscreen. they just had really good chemistry, and the possibility of a relationship between them was far more interesting to me than the stale, by-the-numbers robin/starfire. that was just bland.
10. A pairing that I despise
i hate to be so obvious, but beast boy/terra. the blind adoration on beast boy's part i don't mind, but terra is just so lost and detached as an individual that there's no conceivable way she could get involved in a relationship with anyone.
