xDDDD I do, actually. I'm more in the middle with her actually, she gets annoying and mary-sue ish (but that's usually typical of any female lead) but she's not too bad... xD;; Though Toph wins, hands down, of course.

tell me about digimon!

1. The first character I first fell in love with
kido jyou, hands down! was and still is my favorite character to this day. so unsure of himself, unhappy with himself, and yet he always pulled through for those who ever really needed him. so much love ♥
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
taichi. so he was hotheaded and stubborn! and kind of an idiot. but he made me laugh. my reasons for liking him are really silly and don't involve much more than HAHAHA.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
yamato. "i'm dark, twisty, and tormented! and did i mention pretty?" eurgh, not really my thing. characters that wallow don't do it for me.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
daisuke. i seriously thought he was awesome. funny, yes, like taichi, and stubborn to that point where he just couldn't back down from anything. so yeah, a bit of an idiot too. but i always felt like his heart was genuinely in the right place.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
sora. she used to be my favorite, even (and then jyou came on screen, and well). i thought she got a lot of unnecessary shit for being a "lame character" and she would've been #4 if she just hadn't fallen by the wayside. she really was kind of a boring character when i look back on it, but i never thought she was as vomit-inducing as the collective fangirls claimed she was.

phoof. um. holy crap, i totally left out the digimon themselves! wait, i don't think that makes my decision making any easier. alright, i hate to continue on the jyou streak (not really), but gomamon. optimistic and bubbly and funny, and always so supportive of jyou, who really needed it.

ARRRRRRGH YAMATO D:< season 1 yamato, surely. thank god he'd matured by season 2.
9. A pairing that I love
oh god, this was the fandom that started my pairing streak. so many pairs! jyoumi ruled over EVERYTHING. i still love and swear by that ship to this day. hot on its heels would be daiken (such the perfect slash couple for that show!) and kouyako. and yay taiora! *waves flag*
10. A pairing that I despise
imo, the series completely, utterly effed up when sora and yamato got together. i mean... what? what? where did that come from? how do these two make a good couple? i can't even wrap my head around it, it just makes no sense to me :( really, the only couple the series got right was takari (don't really get how miyako's blind admiration of ken coupled with ken's apathy towards her = TRUE LOVE).

yeah, the sora-yamato match-up was quite disheartening...I suppose that's why there's fanfiction. =)

I'll go with the obvious and say PPG. XDDD

buttercup! seriously, ever since the first "what a cartoon" 7 min. shorts, even then, she was my favorite. she was such a snarky little punkass, and i was so taken with her.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
hrm. i hate to make it another powerpuff, but it'd have to be blossom. as the series went on i kept picking up on all these complexities in her character (HAH LISTEN TO ME GEEK ABOUT PPG) and now, i just, aw. i love her.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
bubbles. i don't hate her, she just happens to be my least favorite of the girls ^^; and naturally she is the most popular, nothing wrong with that. me and the bubbles phenom just don't quite match up.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
it'd have to be the collective rrb. in this fandom you either love 'em or you hate 'em. i don't know why i love them. it's totally a guilty pleasure thing for me. they're cute like the girls, only male, they're dumb little boys, and they can't really help it if their name has been tainted by the scores upon scores of badfic that features them coupled with the girls. they'd probably be righteously horrified to discover the fandom, fwaha. seriously, the idea of a being that exists to be your opposite but is, in reality, you with a dark side, or you with a twist, that's a really fascinating concept. oft-used, and badly at that, but it wasn't like the ppg crew tried to make it mean something. at face value, the boys showing up was pretty much allowing for a 22 min. action-fest (and yes, it was AWESOME). but you know, shrug and stuff. aw boys ♥!

can i say buttercup again? no i can't, that isn't true :( hey. him. yes, HIM. he's almighty and powerful and evil, and could destroy the world at the drop of a hat, and yet he doesn't! he's just, like, dicking around! like the earth is his plaything! i'm down with that.

the mayor. because he's an idiot. sometimes funny, mostly annoying. tom kenny's great as his voice actor, though :D

AHAHAHAHA... hm. ~~mojo/professor :DDDD~~ seriously. my favorite of the ppg/rrb couplings is blossom/brick (but still, just by teeny, tiny bits).
10. A pairing that I despise
keane/professor = big no-no. partially b/c i feel like it's a cliched pairing (i'm such a hypocrite) but mostly because i don't think a relationship with the professor and ANYONE else would work; he loves the girls just way too much to have the time to devote to anyone else. you might argue that whoever he's paired with (ms. keane, ms. bellum... huh, i guess that's it) would understand and share his love of the girls, but i still feel that there's a very specific sort of bond between father and daughters that just couldn't be replicated. sorry professor :( (no sex for you, not ever...)

...how about Teen Titans? (You, by the way, I hold responsible for getting me into a minor love affair with Teen Titans because of A Tinge of Insomnia...I had never heard of it until your fic! Ah well =) )

raven. snarky and acerbic. i dig sarcasm.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
jinx. she seems to be really popular, despite being in, what, five eps tops? i wasn't really watching the series toward the end anyway :( after her character development in the ep with kid flash i really liked how she came across as this character who's evil because that's just the way things are, and isn't expecting redemption for being good, because she isn't. the conflict wasn't really this internal struggle of being good vs. being bad, but more of a coming into her own and becoming a stronger individual. huzzah for strong female characters!
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
fuh... i don't know that there's a collective admiration of any particular character. perhaps slade? he's a dark twisty bad guy, didn't strike me as anything special. some folks were really into the robin/slade thing; slade just didn't interest me much at all.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
again, don't know that one exists. i seriously can't come up with one! i think a lot of people hated on terra, but i didn't exactly find her very compelling either, so bleh. i'm with them on that one.

kid flash! very witty, confident, and charming all around.

*sigh* terra. she's confused and conflicted and made some poor decisions, that's fine, but, just, ERGH. then they turned her into a savior and made her such a martyr... groan. just, groan. i found her far more interesting as a dark soul with "no regrets," and they could've handled her exit with a lot more class if they'd held off on the melodrama. i will say i love how they handled the series finale, though.
9. A pairing that I love
bbrae. although i found it at times to be much more of a sibling relationship... beneath all the bickering there was this faint undercurrent of genuine affinity, and i loved it when the two of them were onscreen. they just had really good chemistry, and the possibility of a relationship between them was far more interesting to me than the stale, by-the-numbers robin/starfire. that was just bland.
10. A pairing that I despise
i hate to be so obvious, but beast boy/terra. the blind adoration on beast boy's part i don't mind, but terra is just so lost and detached as an individual that there's no conceivable way she could get involved in a relationship with anyone.

I'm gonna sound like such a geek asking this, but Naruto fandom? Maybe? ^^;;

haha, i've only ever seen maybe 2 eps tops of naruto, and i'm pretty sure they were the first two... but hell! i'll try it anyway, based on my horrendously limited knowledge! totally random, uninformed one-word answers abound :B

another case where i'm not sure how many people love ginny. and i don't think it's so much a character issue as it is an issue i have with how jkr handled her. i didn't have a problem with her until book 5, when she suddenly developed a backbone O_o yeah, i know the book says early on "oh, we usually can't get her to shut up, she's totally different when harry's not around," but i was not sold on it in the least. jkr would've done well to show us how ginny decided to quit on the harry infatuation, rather than just tell us :\ no points for that one, jkr.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
well, it depends on what aspect of fandom you're in ^^; but i adore draco, and not for any particular reason other than i instantly saw a character who was being prepped for redemption from the moment his name first appeared on the page. and until book 6 jkr makes him such a bully, someone you cannot help but viciously hate, so you know when his redemption finally comes, it's going to be freaking epic.

hm... i suppose it might be dumbledore. probably happened around book 5, when he served up that excuse of loving harry too much that he had to detach himself from him... what? you're the one of the oldest, wisest wizards in the world, and somehow you believe that's the right thing to do? albus, you need a new counselor.

AHAHAHAHA. harry/draco, and looking back on it i can't really explain why, other than harry's such a messed up kid that healthy, normal romantic relationships really aren't for him. and i'm not implying that gay relationships aren't normal or healthy (because they totally are), but that as such a messed up kid he would find some sort of bizarre comfort in someone who's so abusive to him. and draco's mostly an idiot. (well, they both are.) i'm not sure what made me fall in love with this pairing, actually, but a large part of it may have to do with the absolutely fabulous quality of the h/d fanfic out there. it's criminal, how beautiful it is.
10. A pairing that I despise
harry/ginny. before book 5 it would've blind infatuation coupled with disinterest, and now it's i'm-way-too-good-for-harry-effing-potter-seriously-you-have-no-idea coupled with lonely horny boy hormones. harry is destined to go out like han solo: alone (merely in the romantic sense) and celibate. a cruel fate, but that's how i've felt from book 1. (this probably is what allows me to have my h/d fantasy pairing :B)

Interesting questions, how about South Park, one of my favoritist shows?
