Man you guys this song breaks my heart. Pretty much a sentimental breakup song loaded up to the gills with angst, and maybe too sentimental to come from Brick-who-is-a-bag-of-dicks, but if you've noticed my Brick tends to be that way despite his clear effort to show everyone (and himself) otherwise. I think the prouder you are, the more emotionally affected you are when shit goes downhill. The last lines of this song in particular... yeah. Straight-up, total Reds!breakup from Brick's POV. Damn, this ship will never be happy.

One of my growing collection of "adolescent!RrB have cruuuuuuuushes on the Girls." Okay it's pretty much mostly from Boomer's POV, but it could totally apply indirectly to the other two. I mean, in adolescence and once you get past the denial/obliviousness. Kinda adorkable and poppy and a good one for TEF!Boomer to add to his repertoire of songs to ~~manipulate Bubbles into liking him with~~ sing to Bubbles. Planting ideas in your head that may or may not actually apply to the fic, am I being coy or just a bitch FWAHAHAHA I'LL NEVER TELL ♥

frostnapples brought this one to my attention way back (girl where did you go) as a Reds song, which I do see and hear, but one day it came on and I had a complete epiphany: THIS IS SO BUTTERCUP POST-"BUTTERCRUSH" WRT ACE. Seriously people listen to this shit. THE VERY TITLE OF THE SONG RELATES TO THE EPISODE. And the lyrics! The references to James Dean (okay well James Dean is way awesomer/hotter/badasser than Ace, not exactly news, but the way it ties in to Buttercup's fascination with his "rebellious" attitude and "mysteeeeeerious" person), the "half-wide broken jaw" (before or after Buttercup punched the dickbag in the face, either can apply), "oh boy you left me speechless" okay this could go on for awhile just listen to the fucking thing.

I've had another song!post planned centering on creepy relationship songs (like along the lines of, uh, stalking and violence) but that requires a little more effort and man, I am not about the effort today. Hay guys what is the haps.
