the second...

three more done! (sorry they took so long ¬_¬... i suck.)

for [livejournal.com profile] blood_opal, who requested boomer/bubbles + shakespeare:

“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate—”

Bubbles looked up. “Is that Shakespeare?”

Boomer paused, the words he’d worked so hard on memorizing fluttering away, lost forever. “Er, yeah. Yeah, it’s Shakespeare.”

Bubbles nodded thoughtfully. “I thought so. I mean, it sounded like Shakespeare.” She turned back to her magazine and shifted in the shade of the tree. “You know, I never really got Shakespeare. I always had a lot of trouble understanding what he was saying.”

Boomer didn’t say anything, just looked down at her face, profiled in the speckle of sunlight and shade and tried to remember what came next. Because honestly, he didn’t really get Shakespeare either, but someone said the guy wrote a bunch of love poems and when you’re in love you do that sort of thing — read love poems to the girl you love, that is — and Boomer thought, at the very least, that it was worth a shot.

for [livejournal.com profile] cynicalism, who requested the following two pieces:

boomer/buttercup + candy apples:

Boomer and Buttercup exchange appreciative looks over their treats, leaving a dazed and bewildered Butch behind.

The thing is, the bastard sort of deserved it. Chatting and flirting up a storm with the girl manning the candied apple cart was one thing, but buying all her apples just to get a date was going too damn far. The punk doesn’t even like apples.

The other thing is, candied apples are Buttercup’s favorite thing about the Fall season, and when Boomer stepped out of the apple line giving Butch a murderous glare over his fists of tart, sweet fruit, she instantly knew Boomer was a kindred spirit.

So they exchange appreciative looks over their treats, Boomer with an apple in each fist and, thanks to his messy face, looking like a five year old whose food keeps getting lost on the way to his mouth.

But the truth is, it’s kind of precious, and besides, Buttercup muses, anyone whose Fall isn’t complete without a candied apple in each hand? Yeah, probably worth keeping around.

butch/buttercup + scrabble:

“Whose idea was it to play this dumb game?” Buttercup grumbled, biting at a blank tile.

“I’m having fun,” Butch said, a sinister grin on his face. His attention, however, was not focused on the Scrabble board between them—he was fishing around the box for tile after tile and spelling out other things on his rack.

“Haha, check this out.” He flipped the rack around with a triumphant smile.

Buttercup squinted at it. “DO ME BUTTERCUP,” she read aloud.

Her eye twitched and she directed a scathing glare at his person.

His eyes were wide with mock innocence. “What?”

Buttercup plucked two of her own tiles and slammed each one down with a growl. N-O.

Butch peered at them, then set to fishing around his own tiles in search of letters to add. When he was done, Buttercup leaned forward and read, “GET ON ME.” She glared at him again.

“You see, I switched your ‘N’ and ‘O’ to make the ‘ON’—”

“I get that, thanks.”

“Oh, well then, good.” He reclined in his seat. “Your turn.”

Buttercup immediately swept away ‘ON ME’ and spelled ‘GET BENT.’

Butch was altering it almost instantly. ‘BEND OVER

“You know what, I’m done with this game,” Buttercup declared loudly, and in one swift movement swept the game, tiles and all, back into its box. “What else is there?”

Butch reached down and grabbed a box at random. “How about Charades?” He slid out a card and read it to himself, that sinister grin spreading on his face once more.

“What’s it say?” Buttercup asked, eyeing him suspiciously.

He turned his dark gaze on her and snickered. “BDSM.”

Buttercup could feel her eye twitching yet again. “So, like I said. Whose idea was it to play these dumb games? And who brought them over in the first place?”

“Yeah, that’d be me,” Butch confessed, raising a hand.

“Those were both rhetorical questions.”

“Oh, well then, good.” He reclined in his seat again, that impish grin never once leaving his face. “Your turn.”

GAH. I appologize for commenting so late, but these (and the previous ones I didn't get to comment on) were absolutely fantastic! ♥

Your Boomer and Bubbles are so cute without being too childish like most people characterize them. Of course, I adore the Buttercup and Boomer one too, you made their relationship or nonrelationship so...cute! And the Butch insert had me giggling as well. And ahh...the last one was perfect. The snark and interaction was brilliantly done!

And EEE. PPGZ premiered today! The screencaps make me think the episode will be a tad...crude, but I still want to watch it, raw or subbed. xDD

hehe the episode is a tad cude but it's still very humorous. If I can figure out how to put it on youtube I'll send you the link

I've always loved how simple and sweet your stories are. I especially love the last one. Had me giggling insanely. You've inspired me to start drawing PPG fanart again.

and the rowdyruff boy episode in the anime had me laughing so much myself.
