Another one of these damn things

I really ought to be kept away from these things! Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] aerodactylus.

* Leave me a comment saying "I have caek".
* I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity.
* Update your journal with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1. How did you get into PPG, and why do you stick with it?
I feel like I've touched on this a few times before (it's a question that does come up a bit) and have maybe been a little more eloquent/thoughtful (HAAAAA!) in the past, but in summary, I first got into PpG with the very first What-A-Cartoon! short, "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins," and rejoiced when I heard it was becoming a series (you guys I was so excited, I was so fucking excited you have no idea), and shortly after that made my way to the online fandom, where I mostly lurked (I miss the PpGWorld forums so much!). I think I was way more eloquent about the rest of this question in the closing statements to that ridiculously long PpG/RrB essay I did, so have some !blockquote! action:
Maybe I just love it too much to let it go. I love the Girls, I'll never stop loving them! (If the gallons of money I've poured into filling my limited living space with their bug-eyed likeness has anything to say about it, that is.) Besides how funny the show was, how the art style was just my type of aesthetic, how I loved its use of color and the visual gags and the character acting... I loved the Girls. I loved seeing girls—kids—like that on TV.

2. Are there any other fandoms you would ever consider writing for?
At this point in my life, not really. I had a Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends piece that I started but didn't go anywhere (Frankie-centric), and some various Teen Titans pieces here and there, but those have been collecting dust too long for me to do anything with (literally, it's been like over six years). I dunno, maybe the Foster's one will get some attention, but I've got PpG to deal with more "important" matters at hand.

3. What is the one thing you've always wanted to do, but have never done?
It's such a long list! But we'll go with live in a foreign country.

4. What's your favorite time of year?
Winter! I have an extremely low tolerance for cold, but I love warming myself in front of fires and space heaters and with people and in cozy peacoats and parkas, actually most all clothing associated with winter I love, including scarves and armwarmers and mittens and boots and tights (OH CHRIST DON'T GET ME STARTED), and I love layering. Winter forces me to dress myself. I get to wear more neckties! Summer I just throw as little clothing on as I am comfortable with.

5. Is there any part of your personality that you're ashamed of? If so, why?
I can be manipulative - which is good in some cases, and sometimes required, but I find myself being particularly manipulative with my most beloved of loved ones, and not always in the good/required way. It speaks to my pettiness as a person (though oh, aren't we all) and no matter how much I try not to be, if I'm angry and it's the heat of the moment and I want to win the argument, I whip that shit out and wield it like a battle axe, two-handed and everything. On the plus side for whatever unlucky party happens to be on the receiving end (especially if it's happened more than once and said party is fairly perceptive), I do a pretty poor job of masking when I'm doing it, and then get called out on my shit. I don't like it and am ashamed of it because it is a dangerous thing and I recognize that it could very well push away my most beloved of loved ones, but because I am given to the angries and am petty and am human, I do it anyway. But I work on it, and my loved ones stick around, because they're amazing ♥

Alright bitch, be that way.
1. What is your ideal dinner? (I'm talking multi-course meal here, drink pairing, dessert, the works.)
2. A friend turns to you for wedding cake advice. What do you do?
3. Pick three charms of great significance to you to put on a bracelet. No need to explain them, just tell me what they are.
4. Whipped, butter cream, or fondant?
5. I'm having a party, and you're invited! What are you wearing to it?! (Dress as crazy as you want, but no cosplay plz!)

... Though you are welcome to wear cosplay items (say, Hitomi's necklace from Vision of Escaflowne, or Sailor Moon's boots) - I just don't want people showing up as characters when they can show up as themselves!
