HEY I DID A MEME
Tagged by
celianiva ages ago. I've had it finished for two weeks, actually! I just decided I would waste a bunch of time digging up links to each of these, because I nerd hardcore.
RULES:
1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Tag 21 friends.
5. Everyone tagged has to do the same thing.
6. Have Fun!
IF SOMEONE SAYS 'ARE YOU OKAY' YOU SAY?
Side 2 (Dressy Bessy)
Lyrics kinda work! "Spinnin' on 2-side..."
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
白虎野の娘 (Hirasawa Susumu)
DL link here; it's the first butterfly bullet and it is AWESOME
Hahaha this is the song from the Paprika soundtrack! Translates to "The Girl in Byakkoya - White Tiger Field." Lyrics are pretty cool and actually kinda fit, especially when you take into account the film is all about Jungian psychology (!!! Again with the synchronicity thing)!
Here, btw, are the film's fantastic op credits:
WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
Asian Bell (Kyle Cease)
LAWL. Kyle Cease is a hilarious comedian. Couldn't find this track on youtube, but his Pillsbury bit is one of my faves.
HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
I'll Come Running Back to You (Sam Cooke)
Aw, that's sweet.
WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE?
A Beautiful Mess (Jason Mraz)
The mess is unfortunate, but at least we're keeping it beautiful!
WHAT'S YOUR MOTTO?
Scream (BoA)
THAT'S RIGHT, BITCHES!
WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
Split - instrumental (Suneohair)
From Honey and Clover II. Which is really sweet to me, since I love the series and it's all about how affected we are by the relationships we develop in college. Ugh I'm getting all teary just thinking about it...
Trivia: This track (w/the lyrics) is actually on my TEF playlist for one very, very specific scene at the end of TEF.
WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
Absolutely Zero (Jason Mraz)
Not entirely true, but certainly true in particular cases ;9
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN?
The Chain (Ingrid Michaelson)
A total lie.
WHAT IS 2 + 2?
Lady (Lenny Kravitz)
On a scale of 1 to 10? Ouch. Poor woman.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND?
Am I Reaching You Now (Train)
I guess they can be a little dense sometimes?
WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY?
Sweet Soul Revue (Pizzicato Five)
DAMN YES. P5 is pure, concentrated awesome.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Don't Trust Me (3OH!3)
:]
WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE?
The Best Day Ever (Tom Kenny as Spongebob)
HAHAHAHAHA TOTAL YES!
WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
Yuugure Toki Wa Youma No Yogen 4 (from the Sailor Moon Memorial Box) (I CANNOT BELIEVE YOUTUBE EVEN HAS THIS UP; I SHOULD NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE SAILORMOON FANBASE I GUESS)
On the one hand, this doesn't really work (dancing to a youma theme, no matter how mellow it is? Not very romantic). On the other hand, it's just over a minute long, which is the right amount of time I should be allowed on the dance floor, so it balances out.
WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
Suspect (Daniel Powter)
Ugh why is this guy on my iTunes? Why can't I have some peppy j-pop playing at my funeral?
WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST??
Mistake (The Band Has No Name)
Another Honey and Clover selection! I guess you could say making mistakes is an unintentional hobby of mine >3>...
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR??
Throwing Punches (Page Hamilton) Can't find this one online, sorry dudes. I myself got the song from
spleneticfizz, I think.
It's true. I'm a very non-confrontational person D: Maybe this is why I fangirl Buttercup so hard. TEACH ME, QUEEN OF AWESOME.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET?
The Lazy Boy (Moxy Früvous) Track 10 @ the link
I... guess?
WHAT DO YOU WANT RIGHT NOW?
All Jacked Up (Michael Giacchino)
This is from Lost, which is something else I don't really want or need on my iTunes (sorry Lost fans! I don't watch the show). I do love a lot of Giacchino's other work, though.
Also nonsense answer is nonsense.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS?
Seven Years (Norah Jones)
Maybe this is a variation on the Ringu/The Ring thing? In that case, uh oh...
WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS?
Lux Æterna - O Nata lux (Morten Lauridsen)
HAHAHA, choral music for the win! Hauntingly beautiful. I'll take it :D The particular rendition I linked to is a little wonky dynamic-wise (and the sopranos get a little sharp on the high notes...) but it's the best version online. ENJOY IT IT IS PRETTY.
I tag whoever the fuck feels like doing this!

I think I have those Jason Mraz songs, if only because my band had to play I'm Yours and those other songs are probably on the same album... except we kinda don't anymore so it was fairly pointless, boo.
also, P5 for the win. I need more of their music, I love Capsule so I have to love their inspiration, too, right?
