Instead of chasin' that paper just live your life
Ugh, God, so tired.
After getting through ch7a I took off a week from writing TEF (not this past week, but the week before). It felt good, very liberating! I was able to entertain other fic ideas (and then stupidly did not take any notes, gold stars for my idiocy) and avoid TEF burnout.
Though, really, one of the things keeping me from starting Part 2 was my, er, total lack of an outline. So after taking a week off, I started off the week by finishing my outline. Thankfully, I'd done the bulk of the work a few weeks before that - that is, making sticky notes of all the points I wanted to hit, plus any relevant details. All that was left was pasting them into my giant-ass outline and figuring out where they fell in the chronology of the story. Then on Monday when I started it felt so damn good to be writing again.
... I guess the point is, breaks are good? Even when you're doing something you love, breaks are v., v. good things.
You know who's been the most surprising character in TEF? Boomer, damn him. And the most troublesome thing about him? He's gotten me listening to way more pop than I'd ever admit to. Like, I cannot stop listening to Life Your Life right now, and keep picturing him singing not T.I.'s part, but Rihanna's. I also hold him responsible for the image that has persisted in my head for the past couple of weeks that... well, let's say, if JS, Inc. put out a reel of the Boys in action, I cannot stop Britney Spears' Circus from entering the mix as the background music. SOMEONE MAKE THIS STOP. (Actually, it's okay. I am enjoying this more than you'd think.)
My left shift key on my netbook keeps sticking, which is annoying.
Back to ch8! (I swear, btw, that I will not post again unless it is the next chapter of TEF. For reals.)
