Wishlist time!
So I stopped being lazy and am putting up a GD wishlist post, because I am a greedy bitch who wants everything forever.
RULES
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
THE WISHLIST (WARNING: VERY FANDOM-Y)
1. Duh guys. Fic. Fic of the PpG variety. You know what I like. Actually, I'd love to see well-written ANY pairing, you know. Mix it up. Make me love you. And I will, if you write fic. (Yes I am a high-maintenance kinda gal.)
2. PpG icons! I need more, forever. Plus I'm too lazy to make my own; I haven't touched PS in like a year, seriously.
3. While we're on the subject of icons, I would love more than six slots for icons, what. I refuse to upgrade to a plus account and put that bastard-ugly ad on my lj. I'm not having that, livejournal you bastard >:C
4. Pictures of people! (I KNOW EVERYONE ASKS FOR THESE, BUT FU I WANT ME SOME TOO.) Particularly pictures of you with your favorite PpG item, ever. :D
5. Tell me how you got into this fandom in the first place. What did it? Was it the shorts? A particular episode? What, what, what? Tell me. I wanna know.
6. At least five sentences on who is your favorite and why. (YES THESE ARE MOSTLY ALL PPG-RELATED)
7. This is so self-absorbed of me, but as you all know, TEF is coming soon. It will not be up before Christmas, I am sorry to say, so it is especially selfish of me to want this, but here it is: when the first chapter goes up, I want to know EVERYTHING that makes you squee about it. I want to know what works. I want to know what lines are your favorite, what you think of who and why. Honest comments/critiques. I want it all.
8. Songs! Particularly definitive couple songs! Upload them for me! For everyone!
9. For everyone to watch the PpG 10th Anniversary Special when it airs. For realz, guys. And then I want reaction posts/comments. Srsly, omg, love it so much. ♥
