I'm so close to being done w/revising ch9! I'M SO CLOSE! I've pulled out countless adverbs and re-worded so many sentences and axed entire paragraphs here and there (most of them small) and I STILL HAVE 9 PAGES LEFT TO GO. DEAR GOD I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOREVER.
When I first sent ch9 out to Team Awesome I practically threw it at them and screamed "GET IT THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE" because it was such a bitch to write! It's funny, I say that, but every chapter since ch9 has been hellish. I think ch9 sticks out because it was the first one that gave me so much grief. So going through and doing a close top-to-bottom revisionhas been still is AGONY.
I'm also not going to hit that -10% as far as word count goes. Maybe -5%. We'll see; I'm about to start the end section and that was where I envisioned most of the cutting happening. But hey! I'm down a page! (Now I'm at 92 pages total. GAWHD)
Also, uhhhh. I feel like I bring this up a lot so I'm not going to spend that much time on it, but the fact that people like this dumb thing so much makes me really, really happy. I really appreciate the enthusiasm and love. ♥♥♥
Also, uhhhh! A few folks have been asking what TEF stands for! I admit, it's difficult info to come by in the entries (you have to go back like... 3 or 4 years, heh), but it is in my profile/userinfo! TEF stands for "The Epic Fic," which is what I was calling MTH before I had christened it with a title. I must point out that my use of "Epic" was not borne out of any preemptive expectations about its quality (I'm not that egotistical), but rather, how long I could tell it was going to be as soon as I started writing it.
Anyway, enough of that. I've got about an hour's worth of work left to do on this thing. Back to ch9.
