A curious thing happened yesterday, but first, let's go into a little backstory.
I've been in the PpG fandom for a long ass time. Not active for the past ten years, of course - I tend to be a lurker more than anything because honestly, the quality of the fic in my ship of choice is embarrassing, and PpG/RrB shippers tend to be looked down on (with good reason, considering how immature their reactions to non-PpG/RrB fic often are). In non-PpG/RrB fic, you get some Mitch/Buttercup, a lot of Ace/Buttercup (which I'd be down with except I really have no affinity for Ace at all), but more often than not I see Buttercup involved in a shitload of femmeslash.
( And I am a huge slash fan, but I never figured out till yesterday why I just didn't like making Buttercup a lesbian. )

In TEF related news, I stayed up hours last night and wrote some bits of ch3. Owf. Something very weird happened as I was writing this scene where one of the characters actually starts feeling nervous, and I suddenly started feeling very on edge, as if I were the one about to do something scary like perform or sing or do a job interview. Very surreal. I don't think I've ever had that kind of tactile response to a scene while I'm writing the bloody thing. (I should not write late at night, I work way better in the morning anyway, but sometimes I just have to purge.)
TEF ch1 will be up by the end of the month, which I guess doubles as the end of this week. I AM SORRY ABOUT THE DELAY. Um, if anyone's keeping track, the following TEF factoids are addressed in this chapter: 1-5, sort of 7, 9-11, 15, 18, and 21. Geez, that's like, over half of them.
