Thanks so much for the love on the new TEF/MTH chapter everyone! I'm always so honored by your reviews and comments and tumblr posts, especially given how infrequently I update this damn thing. Thank you, thank you, thank you 💗💙💚
I mentioned that I'm working on something original in between chapters and I'm happy to report I finished the roadmap for Act 3 of it today! I've changed my process a lot from what it used to be; rather than sit and agonize over lines and taking an hour to churn out a page now I sit and agonize over a roadmap for a section (in this case, an act) for either a 25 or 50 minute pomodoro section. Which usually results in about a page-ish of mostly descriptive, unformatted blocks of text that then get turned into actual prose and dialogue. That second part has made what feels like a huge difference in the writing process, because once I have that roadmap and I start actually writing I'm flying. Generally I'm doing 50-70 wpm with a roadmap; without I'm hovering between 20-30 wpm. Again, that probably evens out given all the work that goes into the roadmap part, but man, it feels so great to be writing at that speed.
I've also been looking into starting a mailing list for the original stuff. This has always been primarily a fandom blog and space for me and I'd like to keep it that way for the most part. I wonder if I can get that up and running this week? We'll see we'll see.
