A moment of celebration
I finally have a CHAPTER ENDING!!!
... I mean, there's still the transitional stuff to finish. But still! I'm very pleased with how the scene turned out, too. Again, one of those situations where I thought what I had there was garbage but turns out only a tiny amount of it was garbage. I suppose my feelings about this could very well change tomorrow, but for now, it's a success!
Close to hitting my personal deadline for this, though now I have other writing deadlines that are creeping up on me. I gotta start booking on this stuff.
Also another small thing to celebrate - I always forget that I keep my working file a smaller font size than my publish file. So while I thought this was in the range of a 35ish page chapter, it's probably uhhhhh more than that. I assume the sections I'm cutting will be offset by the transition additions that are pending. Guessing this one will be about 18k words. On the lower side of the chapter average, and certainly not as high a count as it's been in the past, but that's arguably for the better. I was way too wordy in the beginning.
