The elation I felt the other day was fleeting. I remembered why i didn't look at my outline for so long. It's because structurally something I was originally anticipating happening in ch18 had to be moved to ch17. Which means ch17 is going to be long. And there's so much happening in it.

On the plus side, a lot of it genuinely is written. Like, probably somewhere between 60-70% of it. Actually that can't be right. Probably closer to 80-90%. I'm overinflating the scene transitions that I need to write; I always overestimate what's needed in those cases. That said, it does still need my 1st revision pass, followed by beta round 1, then likely another round of revisions/beta. But we're close! Certainly closer than we were a few days ago. It's felt genuinely good to get into a TEF/MTH rhythm again.

By the by, in going through my files, I dug up these mock school schedules I'd done for Blossom and Brick's Senior year. I think I might have talked about this before but that was likely ages ago. Originally I did these for all three of the girls in their Junior year, but for Senior year I only did the Reds' schedules since their plot points for this last part wound up being a little more tied in to the story.

I appreciate that! Also I just remember how upset I would be when my favorite fics would disappear or just never get finished and I swore early on I would never do that for any of my stories! I think it helps a lot that I have an ending in mind so I at least have an idea of where it's going - it help keeps me (vaguely) on track, even if it's taking me forever to get there...

It's one thing to swear you never would early on, but to stick to it is impressive! There have been a few great fics I loved that unfortunately were abandoned, so it's really nice to know that I can always rely on this one whenever I think about it again every couple of years or so XD
