Sat here the past week or so trying to tie up the new plot points. Started with where I want to be and then tried to work through it backwards (basically several instances of asking "Why is *** doing this," "How does *** do this," and "Is there something from the show that I can use to tie into this?"

So I've been clicking around for several days, trying to jog my memory on pretty much everything from show eps to mythology to TVTropes, when one one-off episode suddenly came flying out of nowhere into my brain. Oh my God. It feels great. It ticks off all my boxes. I'm so happy. It ties up this one plot point and now I can move on to... well, this other major plot point that I still need to rework.

But hell, I'll take this victory for now!
