Drabble time kids
This is pretty not good at all, but I haven't written in a long time and that part of me is kinda crawling out of its skin, so here, have some shitty shit writing.

Brick tries to blink the stars in his eyes away and realizes no, those are real stars shimmering in the deep night sky. His back is against the concrete and he's wheezing for breath.
"You hit pretty hard for a dead girl," he gasps.
She enters his field of vision, looking mournful. How very fitting.
"I think I saw a show once where the hero did that," he continues. "Faked their own death. Probably Batman, that fucker."
"You let them have Townsville," she whispers.
He thinks about edging up on his elbows but decides he doesn't really care to. "Was I supposed to stop them?"
"You let Him have Townsville." She raises her voice to say it.
The look on her face is hurt, betrayed, and where does she get the fucking nerve?
"I thought you were dead," he says, trying to keep his voice neutral, but all he can manage is nasty.
"You didn't - I thought you would make the right decision if you thought I was-"
A bitter laugh. "This was a test? To see if I'd play the Hero?" It hurts him to say it, but he wants to hurt her so he says it anyway. "Fuck you."
"You wouldn't come to my side! I didn't know how else to make you-"
"Jesus, stop. Don't give me that fucking girl-fu shit." He sits up, finally, and glares at her. "I thought you were dead! You left me. You let me think that. What's the point of me making the world a better place when..."
When you're not a part of it, he means to say, but cuts himself off. She doesn't deserve that of him. She stands there, still looking sad and victimized when she betrayed him, she hurt him.
Blossom turns away, and when she speaks she sounds near tears. "I have to go fix this."
Brick stares at her retreating back, numb and wanting, and mutters, "Good fucking luck."

In other news, I recently discovered a city on the east coast of Australia named Townsville. I imagine that they have a city wide PA system and a man who's job it is every morning to get on the mic and yell, "THE CITY OF TOWNSVILLE!"
