INTERACTIVE UPDATE.
Blossom hadn't noticed it until after she got home - a hastily folded scrap of paper, tucked in between pages 237 and 238 of her Euro History textbook. Reading it now, she blushed, feeling her heart thudding against her knees, pulled up to her chest as she huddled into herself on the girls' bedroom floor.
Brick's handwriting was sharp-edged and more meticulous than one would expect, but here it was a bit messy towards the end, as if he'd only barely gotten out all the words he'd wanted to write before--
There was a knock on the door, and Blossom jumped.
--
Where does it go from here? "Will this be a happy story? A sad story? Or maybe..."
Okay, enough of me quoting other things. Finish writing what I've started here. One comment at a time, one line at a time. No consecutive comments from the same person! Let's continue this story, line by line. Interactivity is where it's at, didn't you get the memo?
You have complete and total freedom. If you want it to happen, make it happen. Bring in whatever characters you like. Have them stick around for a line, or two, or twenty. I'm playing too! But first I need a line from you. Yes. You.
And then we'll all go out and write other fantabulous stuff and can make each other happy forever :D
ETA:
dee_lirious' glorious comment brought to my attention that I should establish a cap on the number of lines one can post (so someone doesn't wind up writing an EPIC comment and running away with the story entirely HEY I'M LOOKING AT YOU STOP IT). Let's say this:
Minimum: 1 sentence.
Maximum: 5 sentences.
Have at it *shoos*

"Hey, Blossom!" Buttercup knocked again, harder. She waited half a beat, before sighing overexaggeratedly and barging in. "Do you have my hair ties? The blue ones-- Hello, what is this?"
Before Blossom had time to blink, Buttercup snatched the notes out from her hends with a wicked cackle.

"Buttercup!"
Blossom made a heroic dive for it, but Buttercup planted a firm foot against her sister's midsection, holding the note an arm's length away.
The grin on her face slowly disappeared, and she furrowed her brow.

"None of your business! GIVE IT BACK!"
"I will when I'm ready..." Buttercup looks back at the note, her enthusiasm returning.

They spent a few moments staring each other down, Buttercup looking between her sister on the floor and the note in her hand. A devious, almost maniacal grin began to bloom on her face.
"Is this for real?" she asked disbelievingly, waving the note just out of Blossom's reach.

Not a continuation of the story!
... :D
/RESUME FIC NOW
Totally a continuation of the story - you win this round, Adam!
"Wow, Blossom," she said with a low, appreciative whistle. "This is... just..."
"I know," Blossom groaned, sitting back and dropping her head into her hands in mortification.
Re: Totally a continuation of the story - you win this round, Adam!
The topic of discussion suddenly flew to her feet and tackled her sister, just as the Hotline started buzzing.
"Girls!" Bubbles threw open the door, pausing very briefly to take in her siblings wrestling on the carpet, then decided it wasn't worth questioning. "The boys are wreaking havoc downtown!"

Except then everyone remembered that they had superpowers and it would take some wicked heavy rocks to kill them in one blow, or generally do more than piss them off a bit.
Brick shook off his momentary lapse in concentration, smacked Boomer in the forehead in retribution for giving him his stupid germs, and studiously avoided Blossom's eyes.
