Some old-fashioned songs for an old-fashioned gal
I got a itch to listen to some old songs (padding out my karaoke playlist, natch) and couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for Blossom in TEF ch9 when Babs' He Touched Me came on:
I feel like this is 100% what's playing in her head when she wakes up the morning after the ill-fated impromptu date - an older song, a little over-sentimental yet so sweet and earnest that you can't help but kind of love it, a little. She wakes up and everything's a little brighter, a little sunnier, a little more beautiful than it was yesterday. What better way to illustrate that unfettered joy than with a melodramatic love song?
Of course, that's the before song. The after song:
I mean, it probably comes up on her wind down playlist or something. And then she just puts it on repeat and cries a little and feels silly about it but hey, she's heartbroken. Cut the kid some slack.
